Homework Center

Runkle School offers two after-school Homework Centers (HWCs): one for students in Grades 4–5 and one for students in Grades 6–8.

Both Homework Centers meet Mondays through Thursdays from 2:40–3:40 p.m. Room schedules are posted in each hallway. Homework Centers are staffed by teachers and aides and provide a quiet, supervised environment where students can begin working on homework assignments.

Homework Center Information

  • Homework Centers begin on Monday, September 24.
  • Homework Centers are free of charge for all students.
  • Families may register students for any combination of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday sessions.
  • Students are expected to attend each scheduled session. Families will be notified if a student does not attend.
  • Homework Centers are not held on Early Release Days. If it is a K–6 Early Release Day, Homework Center will still be held for students in Grades 7–8.
